The Cleveland Cavaliers, often known as Cleveland, is a professional American basketball team based in Cleveland, Ohio. Cleveland is competing in the National Basketball Association (NBA) as a member of the central section of the Eastern Conference League. The team began playing as an expansion team in 1970, along with the Portland Trail Blazers and Buffalo Braves.
